Can you walk into Bank of America and cash a Cashier Check?
I sold some audio gear and the guy paid with a Cashier Check from Bank of America.
I was thinking of just going over and trying to cash it, this might help tell me if it is fake! Michael

Your best bet is to probably deposit it into your checking account, then cross your fingers while waiting to see if it's "collected funds". Stereo gear? I'm thinking the check is most likely legit. I pay for my ebay purchases with cashier's check...

I am happy for the most part w/ BofA. I have gotten good customer service from them and no hassle w/ holds, etc.. In my experience, they are less a PIA than Wells Fargo, Washington Mutual, and the others.
I am spoiled by using a small, privately owned bank in MN., so if anything I judge these behemoths more harshly than most.
