Looks like he's outnumbered by reporters 6:1!

I have a generator that id be happy to plug this idiot into.

"What if 250,000 people protested and nobody noticed?"

I thought the same thing, tech. I'd forgotten they had that rally and actually was reminded about it on this board. I agree that it did not receive that much coverage.

Not much more coverage than the story about the FBI mounting a military style attack in Puerto Rico where they shot Ojeda Rios and left him to bleed to death. Even the territory's governor is questioning the action.

Again, so much for the liberal media.

Dan

All the big guns were covering Rita and obviously the nutjobs at the protest would make the lefties look bad. This is not too hard to comprehend.

techweenie 09-28-2005 07:57 AM

LOL.

So some intrepid photographers manged to find 7 or 8 people with nutty signs in the last 7 years of protest events? Wow.

And another persuasive cartoon from Mul!

Sorry, these are lameassed attempts to dismiss 250K people as nutcases, when 57% of the US is more or less in agreement with their goal of bringing the troops back.

Tim Hancock 09-28-2005 08:22 AM

Actually tech, probably closer to 100% of Americans want the troops to return home (read: after the job is finished successfully vs prematurely which will record it in history as a failure), it depends on how the polling questions are worded.

But I am at least 57% sure you know that.

Tim Hancock 09-28-2005 08:25 AM

Oh and by the way there were obviously more than 7 or 8 nutjobs there protesting.

I am more than 57% sure that you know that also.

It also depends on what the pupil has been taught, as more often than not Joe-Sixpack doesn't have the time or inclination to do his/her homework, and as the media have an agenda or myopia that taints their image selection and omission (intentionally or not)...Polls are simply a reflection of what people have been exposed to; if that exposure is erroneous, so are their conclusions.

This is the case.

Yep, and they did the same things when millions from around the world protested too.

Gives them something to do I guess.

And you don't think this is what Bush did to you with his WMD scare?

When in a corner, blame the French.

The neocons can count on their constituency to never have gone there; know nothing about the place and just have a vague general notion that they think they're better than the typical American.

France is especially in disfavor because they (and Germany and 60+ other countries) turned out to be right about Iraq.

Creature Cat, I could care less what you think.SmileWavy :p SmileWavy :p

Saddam and the UN had a cozy relationship that prevented honesty and any true discipline. Saddam had WMDs, undeniably, and the action by the US was justified on those grounds, legally...Legally without question...The reasons for the operation that concerned me, and Clinton for that matter (although he was obviously too busy with Serbia), were his relationship with al qaeda and the funding of terrorism.

For you libs the humanitarian reasons should be enough justification for the operation...But given the left's support for the UN and willingness to do NOTHING for oppressed people, I am beginning to see that the call for "liberation" and "human rights" are just warm fuzzy language that are about as intellectually nutritious as a Twinkee is physically.

stevepaa 09-28-2005 10:14 AM

liar, liar, pants on fire again. Are they ever not on fire?

turbocarrera 09-28-2005 10:20 AM

Mul, if the UN was so cozy with Saddam, why did they go to war against him and then continue to bomb and harrass him for the next 10 years?

turbocarrera 09-28-2005 10:44 AM

We all know who was really cozy with him..

Here's Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL) holding hands with Saddam just three months after his chemical attack on Halabja using Made in the USA WMD. Hold on tight Senator!

(Saddam, ever the joker, looks like he wants Joe Wilson to pull his finger.)

turbocarrera 09-28-2005 10:51 AM

Of course, this is the more flagitious picture that really does say more about Republicans than 1000 words ever could.

Sleep tight.

Tim Hancock 09-28-2005 10:54 AM

Gosh is it just me, or do those pics look 20+ years old?

I sleep fine.
