Pay money to try out your dream job.
This sounds interesting. There's a company that, for a fee, arranges a brief (few days or so) internship doing a variety of jobs. Here's the U.S. automotive listing:

Wow. They've got one of my dream jobs listed. Too bad I've already done it for seven years.

Thats pretty cool. Ive always wanted to be an engineer on a frieght train, would love to do something like that. I'm one on a local tourist railroad, but its just not the same.
