Moving to Colorado
Tired of the humidity, single season, hurricanes, flat roads with sand on the corners... miss the mountains, snow, air so clear you can see for year...
Anyone know of IT management jobs in the front range area?

If you want clean air, don't go to the front range . . .

IT jobs are tough to find on the Front Range, unless you want to live in Denver. I am in Fort Collins, and my wife commutes to Cheyenne to work for the State of Wyoming IT Department.
Hewlett Packard has been downsizing and Agilent just recently sold a big chunk of the Northern CO business. Bill |

It's still a tough market. Don't know of any jobs but a coworker swears by: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rmiug-jobs/
I've never used it but it seems that the smaller IT shops are using it. Much better than monster. Good luck and feel free to ask any questions. I take it you know the area to want to move here. Michael

I just moved to North Colorado Springs in July. There are a lot of jobs, and my recruiter thinks there are more jobs than qualified applicants. The down side is that a lot of the jobs want a clearance with all of the DoD stuff, but you can get an interim clearance. I ended up working with a recruiter from TEK Systems and just got hired on with Oracle. Denver does have some smog, but the Springs area has some of the better air quality around. Specifically, I live just south of Monument. Housing is a bit more, but less dense. Let me know if you want the contact info of the guy I worked with...

Arizona has a strong IT market. Might look here. Mountains are an hours drive North...

Just move to the Rockies and you will be happier! I did and could not be happier. Don't worry about smog, when the wind blows the smog blows to Kansas and it is nothing compared to almost anywhere in Cali. The I.T. business has slowed but it is only temporary.
Good Luck!

Brad,
I'd be interested in contacting your recruiter. I love the springs and had a TS clearance a decade ago. Haven't done anything evil since then. Can you provide his contact info? my e-mail is glenn861@aol.com Thanks
