Temecula Wine Country

Hey Fellas!

I'm taking my girlfriend up to Temecula for a tour of some of the wineries for our 1 year anniversary - anyone have experience or suggestions.

This will be my first winery tour...

Thanks.

I stayed at the Inn at Churon Winery there last year.

Very nice accomodations. Tasting room on the lower level of the main entrance. I thought their whites were more impressive than their reds, but neither really superlative.

Definitely worth staying at the Inn as a base for touring the other wineries in the valley, though.

Good luck,
Tim

I'd skip Temecula and go up to Sonoma. Temecula wineries are all over-run. You can't even get close to the bar. I've been once and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Go South, young man, go south. Baja Cali has some decent Wineries and Vineyards in Ensenada and between Ensenada and Tecate. Roads are good and if you take the P car, I can send you the twisty back road routes to take!

Motion - I figured that might be the case. It was my girlfriend's idea...so that pretty much makes it my idea - Ughh. Hahaaa.

Red - I would love to go down to Ensenada. My original idea was camp at Salsipuedes - maybe next year...

Tim - I'll look into the Inn. Sounds nice.

Wish me luck,
