Talking Brought a tear to my eye....

I was heading home from work last night, north on Interstate I-25, when up ahead I see a familiar shape, as I get closer it is apparent that I am looking at the beutiful rear end, of a 993 C4S in silver. Man what a gorgous car. I gawk at it, and try to figure out who to rob so that I can have one, the driver takes the next exit when.....

BAM! out of the blue I hit something. I look in the mirror and a massive amount of white smoke is pouring out from behind the WRX (just like in Spy Hunter). I manage to pull over to the side of the road thinking the worst.

As I exit the car, my nose picks up an old but familiar smell...hmmmm...burning oil, ahh it instantly transports me back to days of the 911. A semi passing by on the interstate almost blows me into the ditch and brings me back to reality. I crawl around and do not see oil spewing from anywhere, and the car is running fine, so I get back in and drive home, as oil burns off the exhaust, I can still smell it at the stoplights.

I get up this morning, and there are tiny pools of oil on the garage floor under the rear passenger side of the car, not massive amounts, just drips, once again making me think of times past.

Best I can figure, I hit either a new or used quart of oil that fell off of someones truck, as the whole back of the car is coated with a fine misting of it. I sure feel sorry for the cars behind me....

Now back to trying to figure out how to talk the wife into a C4S especially with another baby on the way...

Bill

You might find a nice fixer-upper in the high twenties.

(Then spend another twenty doing the fixing)

Stay with the Japanese hot rod...you can cruise by the local high school & watch the girls go wild. Only "old" people drive Porsches these days...kind of like BMW and Mercedes...
