No. Its like giving people a phone book with entirely different phone numbers. They look up Best Buy in the phonebook, but when they call, its an entirely different company who has paid the local government for using the phone number....and NAME! The Best Buy corporation would of course be pissed, but because it would be effectively out of their jurisdiction, they would have no legal recourse. http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9588_22-5890424.html btw, we've done the "alternate reality" experiment using backpack wireless routers with DNS routing of our choosing. Makes for a very disconcerting experience, especially if you chose to "hack" the sites, keeping them close to the original. |
