So, he has been on for a coupe of weeks how does everyone like FCC free radio?

I used to listen to Bubba the Love sponge back when he was first starting out in the early 90's in Tampa. Has anyone caught his evening show? I forgot how funny he is. I think it is brilliant for Howard to bring him on. I also think it was a big mistake, Bubba seems to have a more lively show and some great sidekicks.

Ned kills me. If anyone heard the FCC phone call you would understand. Too funny.

I am really enjoying FCC free radio. Even Raw Dog is awesome.

Who is Howard Stern? Is he like Howard Cosell?

I'm loving it so far, except I get the "acquiring signal" way too much where I live.

I listen to Howard on the way to work and music on the way home- been meaning to give Bubba a try since I hear lots of good feedback about it.

Howard's show has gotten way more funny since the move.

no kidding. he isnt all about cussing either. the show is the same, but "more free". traditional radio is dead.

i gotta admit, the entire howard radio station seems a bit too much. i only listen to the morning show and ignore the rest. i turn it to comedy and alt nation the rest of the day.

his alexis stewart interview was the best. i think i love that woman. i want to drive her aston.

Jims5543 01-24-2006 07:40 AM

When she said she had an Aston I about fell out of my chair. I would never had guessed that one.

Vash, check out Bubba, trust me I have not laughed this hard in years.

I have also noticed Howard seems more relaxed and his show definatly flows better. As always I love the interviews. I am looking foward to seeing what he does now that he has no boundaries. There should be some really good stunts coming up.

I love the new format too. The first few days were sketchy but then he found a grove. Bubba is decent aswell, although a little too much nascar and WWF talk.

i think BUBBA is tooo much screaming.

i will listen and give you my opinion. just some background: what was alexis all mad about? what pig incident?

and can somebody give a quickie about who made what revelations? i missed the first day.

Nope... I'm in an east coast state, and I hate his show.
I hate everything about him.
I hope he takes Sirrus into the shark tank with him.

Stern lovin must be a yankee thing.

(Bush hates him, too.) ;)

Howard Stern has jumped the shark!

What did the shark do to him?...I don't think PITA is going to be happy about this.

Actually it is paying off for Sirius. Howard gets $500 mil over 5 years. He pays for everything from that, production, salaries, lease, equipment etc....Sirius had 600,000 subscribers before they announced Howard's arrival. They have since signed up 2.5 million more at $12/month. First year net will be $300mil in new subscriptions only. Not sure how much more in their cut on receiver sales(another $40-100mil?). Even if they don't get another single subscriber, they will cover his contract after less than 2 years.

i am a huge adam fan. funny-as-hell kinda guy. i listen to his show alot, and i think he is dying. at this point i think he is too one dimensional. all he does is let his co-host talk and he bounces back some witty banter. he needs better writers, and needs to come up with some original skits. watching his homebuild show was fun. loved how he had so many cars.

i am truly sad he is not on LOVELINE anymore. the mix of dry humorless, dr. drew and himself was a good mix.

I've only seen his 350Z. What else does he own?

TerryBPP 01-30-2006 10:37 AM

I know Adam Corrola has a Dastun 510 race car with a FJ20 silvia motor in it. He is definelty a car guy but that doesn't make him interesting to listen too. Look at Jay Leno. :D
