I Got Grubs - Lawn Control

How soon after a treatment to get rid of them can I plant
new seed. Whats the best way to go about this mess.

Thanks.

Do you know what chemical was used to kill the grubs? I suspect that with today's "soft" pesticides, you could reseed right away. BTW, how about a pic of your Porsche powered Devin? I haven't seen one in decades!

I just solved a grub problem this past Spring. I rototilled the whole area and used a product called "Milky Spore" - basically a spore that infects grubs and kills them leaving even more spores behind. Kind of like biological warfare. AFAIK, the stuff is safe for people and pets (unlike most grub killers). Presumably it takes a bit longer to work but keeps the grubs away for years. And you can replant your grass immediately. I can report that I have no sign of grubs what-so-ever.

Though I actually used it to kill mole crickets; Bayer Advanced Lawn 24hr grub control (contains Dylox!?). Trichlofon is listed as the active ingredient. Stuff worked awsome for me, killed the crickets as well as fire ants and everything else in the lwan for the entire summer.

It's supposed to be short-lingering and you have to water heavily after application; I applied and watered a day before rain was forcast.

However...if you can still get Diazanon in your area, it killls everything too and smells good to boot.

Hey I got rid of the grubs but I still have moles digging up the lawn. How do you get rid of them?

The traps spring but when I dig the area up, no dead rat.

I dig into the tunnels and put poison down there and they survive.

Filling their little homes with water didn't do anything.

Filling their little homes with CO from Mr Rototiller didn't do anything.

One of my cats does a pretty good job of killing moles. He brings in one or two a night sometimes. We call him our Molal Solution Solution. Now if we could just get him to leave both halves of their bodies outside...
