92" wide picture from a 8" liquid coupled CRT projector. I use a computer for the scaling, High Definition TV, and DVD player. I have two old phase linear 200w amps and a 100w yamaha amp from the 70s driving Diva swan speakers. I also have a M/K subwoffer. All in a dedicated room of coarse.

Have a 40" Sony Wega (tube) with a matching Sony 900 5-channel DVD / sound system. The equipment is very nice and the picture is still the standard for all other tube sets.
For the money invested it was / is the best package; I'm very pleased. To go the next step for slightly better sound and bigger pic is a HUGE step in $$$$$.

Austin, I'm thinking of upgrading my dish network receiver, how do you like the super sat. 3?
looks like I'm on a low budget: JVC 36" tube JVC 120W X 5 reciever JBL satellites Sony towers in front CV 250W 15" sub.

just the basics. dolby surround PLII (yadda, yadda) DVR, altec lansing mains, polk audio center, samsung sub (
 will be upgraded soon) now shopping for the main screen

What's the super sat 3? I don't see that on Dish's site? I have the standard 811 HD receiver from them ... it's decent and the built-in OTA receiver works great w/ the big antenna I put on the roof.

Grady--this was my first experience with Maggies and the Denon handles them pretty well. From what I hear separates really make them sing with at least 200 wpc. It was not in the budget at the time I purchased everything but Ive been really happy so far--I've got something to look forward to when I upgrade. My room acoustics are terrible too which does not help.

I'm currently thinking up a solution to a mobile sat antenna that rotates and is very small. Thats the only thing lacking in my 944.. Sat TV. The regular TV antenna is crap. I can stream video over the internet to the car better quality than POS antenna... You should create some stuff for the car too Quote:
