this is for REAL, not photoshopped !
|
Obviously its needs those dual rear axles because it has 2000HP....
|
It's really just the ultimate evolution of the 928, isn't it?
|
Its one way to fix the 928 oversteer issue I guess
|
Nah, it had dual Weissach rear axles.....
|
I've always said that, as a contractor, I couldn't use an SUV, so Cayennes are unfortunately out of the question.
Now on the other hand, this 928amino...... |
Don't care for the dualies, but other than that... I noticed that it has a rear window defroster.
|
|
All I can say is "WHY"? ...
|
I heard that's the new Porsche Camino.
|
"WHY"
That would make a great tow vehicle for a 911 race car. There was a yellow one on ebay not too long ago. Think it was in Nevada. |

Those darn Australian's. They'll make a Ute out of anything :)

all things considered, I prefer the lines of a box stock '64 Elky. Somebody flushed many $100 bills on the cars pictured. Probably rolled them into little tubes before flushing.
|
What in the frilly heck??
|
If it had a hot tub in the back, it would be perfect.

Must be a NASCAR thing.....

I don't know, it's not that horrible. It looks well executed.
My real curiousity is about the drive train. |

But, does it have a hemi? |
Those pics inthe first two posts were covered in detail in a recent GT Purely Porsche or 911 mag less than 2 months ago. The article also covered a comparison of one made for a Porsche family member, and one made by a guy like us.
|
The braking has to be a mess. No weight on the rear, yet four (what appear to be) Big Reds clamping down.
It just doesn't make sense (but, it is done well). |

The silver 6-wheel truck is 70 cms longer than a starndard 928 and has a 6.1 liter stroker engine with 390 HP. Initially the added rear axle reduced traction, which was eventually solved when they found the right types of springs.
The owner (Harry Thoma) already had a Ferrari, Rolls Royce, and Lamborghini, so he wanted something different that not 'everybody' could buy... |
yer dead....1st female post w/o a pic in a GUY forum....we need naked pics before you have any creds......
|
Must be tabs....nope....mull....he's been on a fem/nazi roll of late.

But if you are holding your breath for naked pics you can consider yourself dead... |
Short wheelbase with tandem axles....I can only believe it's a nightmare to turn, and must wear out a set of tires in a week!
Which would wear out first, the front rears or the rear rears? Oh, heck, who cares? p.s. Nicole- you must post a pic of something....car? dog? hot friends? |
Ahhhh...Nicole is brave like Adrienne....welcome

That pic with the rear window defroster ... something not right about that one ... is it Photoshopped? I have seen a number of these trucks, one in person, but this pic ... is it fake?
|
I like the El 928 in the spirt of the 1960's-early 1970's attitude that anything goes. Way better than the SUV station wagon wearing a Porsche badge these days.
|
Adrienne of Rennlist...holds her own...
|
I know what is missing from that "928"...
A fifth wheel in the back. That way you can use it to haul your Porsche race car to the track. |
It has finally happened. Now we see what the final consequences are of the "if it feels good, do it" generation.
And there goes the man being rational concept. |
