Chances are good. I'm awaiting formal notice that I've been hired by a new automotive client. Fingers crossed...

I'll also be there Thursday/Friday... Short, but you can't see everything in 4 days anyway!

I've seen a lot written on SEMA and TV shows featuring the show or cars from the show -- I've heard its only open to folks in the auto industry, is that right? Is there anyway for us folks who don't work in the business to get tix to the event?

no. anyone can buy a badge. I haven't gone in the last few years, (used to have a booth there) but I highly recommend it. it's a veritable automotive orgasm. SEMA runs concurrent with Apex. total sensory overload

If you work for a US-based company, you have to show some proof that your business is automotive related (there's some details on www.sema.org). If you register by Friday it's $15, after that it's done on site (with _long_ lines) and costs $50.

haven't been down there for a few years. used to be that way. I never had to worry about it, as I was always there on business and had a booth at times. need to make the effort to go again soon

It looks like I have to cancel my trip there. I thought I had a pass prearranged, but it fell through at the last minute. On the Sema.org site, you can see that the ID requirements are pretty stiff -- as Wayne pointed out.
If anyone has a pass I can borrow for a day or two, I'd be grateful!

Bill,
I have a pass available on Thursday and Friday if that works for you, I wish I could fly in earlier but someone has to pay the bills, let me know if that works for you Scott
