Hard to do when you are busy pulling knives out of your back, and dodging spears that are far from their justified mark.

Think of the poletics you play at your company and with your vendors and customers (potential customers) - now multiply that by, oh...a zillion! Now try to get the job done to satisfy all fronts - ain't gonna happen brotha.

The politics and BS found even on a small level (say your family) will exhaust the common man. Anybody who holds a public office is a magician IMO - anybody who holds a federal elected post is really above board, and elected twice? Come on.

We work on a win-win model with superior customer service all the way around. In fact, I work on a service basis to all of our staffers, paid and intern. My job is to give them everything they need to do theirs. From vendor perspective, we don't negotiate a whole lot. Case in point: I GAVE BACK $.50 a purse to our broker in NY for the backpacks that came in way over estimate. What did I get in return? the same off our line of Pixie's and custom colors and 1 month lead time versus 2. Our retailers pay early, mostly because of the drives. These politics you speak of, doesn't happen here, not with our suppliers, not with our customers.

NathanD,

Far left = Anarchist Black Cross Federation, Party for Socialism and Liberation, Industrial Workers of the World, etc etc.

Far left (just as far right) denotes extreme. Groups with manifestos urging the dismantling of society, the rule of law and so forth. Michael M and Janine G enjoy a high profile as entertainers and social commentating is a byproduct of success in Hollywood. Both of them have been co-opted by the Dems in some form or another because of their mass appeal not for a percieved extremism by the Repubs.

Seems the lines of left and right are blurred in this thread. Lots of people call themselves R or L but are very similar in belief.

So far, the right side of the ledger has a distinct advantage, 46% to 37%. I expected a slightly more right-leaning board, maybe 50% to 30%.

The telling part is the middle; I suspect that only a few years ago, the middle percentage would have been doubled, but we are much more polarized today. I normally would have put myself in the middle, but didn't because I wanted to lend some weight to the left side. I suspect a lot of people did the same, both left and right.
