Iran's president threatens to wipe out USA and Israel

These loons in charge of Iran will soon possess nuclear weapons. Anyone else find this worrying?

Axis of Evil nation indeed.

Excerpt from CNN:

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/10/27/ahmadinejad.reaction/index.html

He quoted a remark from Ayatollah Khomeini, founder of Iran's Islamic revolution, that Israel "must be wiped out from the map of the world."

The president then said: "And God willing, with the force of God behind it, we shall soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism," according to a quote published by Iran's state news outlet, the Islamic Republic News Agency.

Didn't Israel destroy Iran's last Nuclear plant? Isn't it about time for them to do it again?

I've heard that Israel's military dominance shown in 1967 is nothing compared to the dominance they have today. This ought to be interesting.

When asked several days later if he needed to 'soften' his anti-Israel and anti-USA message, the president of Iran (you know, the one who looks suspiciously like one of the terrorists at the USA embassy overthrow many years ago), replied something like 'The good weight of Allah makes these words worth saying. If they were not true, he would have struck me down'.

Yeah, I'm surprised no reaction yet. If you had paid attention to the backdrop of the press conference where he issued this last statement, there was a picture behind him of a US Flag going down what looked like a toilet.

Maybe I took that wrong, but I don't think so.

The gov't shouldn't bother "commenting" on stuff like this. With nutbags like this guy and Kim, you just ignore them or you go and kick their a$$.

Commenting just makes them look big.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is providing the sound bytes that suggest he wants to be just like Cheney, but he's got a long way to go before he is eligible for the special tattoo.

Cheney has killed 2,000 (and counting) of his own countrymen to ensure that the world isn't too safe for the military-industrial complex.

I sincerely hope these are empty threats, but I know one person who doesn't. Who is this person? I'll give you all a clue:

He has a bad heart ....

Cheney is calling for the wipeout of all Arab nations?

You guys must have some strong weed in Australia.

Why is it that pacifists have a hard time calling a spade a spade? Bush's "axis of evil" label is proven true once again by this wacko Islamist soon to be holding the keys to nuclear weapons.

If we had gone to war against Iran, Saddam would be threatening "to wipe out USA and Israel" and the commielibs would be mad that we let a real threat, Iraq, continue to grow and fester while we started an illegal (TM) war in Iran.

Iran is on a war footing. They figure that once Iraq is recognized as a nation state next yr their next on the hit parade or they will have a revolution.

Otherwise the hope of the West is that an internal revolution will develop soon.

The prob with that is that there is no widespread support for one revolutionary group. There is movement going on now to try to bring the various groups together.

Meanwhile if Israel gets very nervious there will be a quick flight to DC to let Bush know what the deal is before they level the place.

My girlfriend is a "commielib" . We had a discussion about Iran having nuclear weapons right before Ahmadinejad made those comments.

She said: "How can we deny Iran nuclear weapons when the US has so many of them? If we get rid of our weapons they won't want any either". ARGHHH!!! After the nutjob made his comments she didn't want to talk about the subject any more.

Needless to say, we connect on other things besides politics.

There is always around a 11-13% peace group in any population according to history. The prob in the US generally is that many boomers still haven't gotten over the 'Nam "give peace a chance" psyche. The divisive Bush is another item. His preemption policy made the pacifists nuts. Last is that many may say they know we are at war but deep down they can't accept it as reality.

I don't think this has anything to do with being liberal or conservative...is she 5 years old?

The reasons MAD worked for the US and Russia...but won't work with Iran are as follows:

1. Both the US and Russian leaders valued their own lives and the lives of the citizens enough not to piss it away by tossing nukes. In the current Islamic "martrydom" culture there is no value placed on life...they are nihilists.

2. If the US president used nukes even in a limited way, he would have to answer to the American people. Unless it was a DAMN good reason, it'd probably end his political career and the career of his party. In Iran...or North Korea...there is no such accountablility.

3. Iran makes assinine statement like the one we are discussing.

That is all I have to say about that.

He's paving the way for it by provoking these people into carrying out acts of devastating terrorism, which then will provide the moral justification for devastating acts of retribution -- the tip of the subjugation iceberg.

Sound familiar?

Cheney wants a holy war more than the jihadists do. He's a warmonger and a misanthrope, and that's a dangerous combination.

Yeah, yeah...he dared them to pull off 9/11 so he could hatch his evil plot to exterminate Arabs and harvest their oil. Newsflash: Radical Islamists and jihadists hate the USA now and ALWAYS have. You have to stand up to these nutjobs and kill them off...not pleasant or politically correct, but necessary. The USA and its allies (including Australia) are the only countries with guts to do it.

The peaceniks should always insert "pre-emptive" into their posts as their fav site does to describe the US administration. Indoctrination ain't easy. Better is to just memorize the following

"Libby is a co-author with former Assistant Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz of the pre-emptive war concept which brought us to the dilemma we are in over the war in Iarq."

Hmm... where are all the "usual suspects", our beloved OT liberal cadre, on this one? Only one Aussie (and they don't count) chiming in so far. Oh, that's right - it's not Monday morning yet. Too early in the game for their football skills. Be ready, though; when the dust settles around this one they'll be ready to tell everyone what they SHOULD have done. It's safer that way. Is Sean Penn in Iran yet? If we timed this just right...

Whatever happened to those "human shield" people in Irag--you know the ones that said they would physically stand in the way of an invasion.
