I recently sold a Targa shell that had been in an accident as scrap to a gentleman who wants to cut bits of it to repair his damaged coupe.
After sending him photos and explaining the chassis was in poor condition, he advised me to keep it and he would travel the 250 miles or so the next day in his truck to take it away. The next day he arrived money in hand and very pleased with his purchase loaded up and drove the 250 miles home. The photo is worth a million words and I laugh every time I see it. Maybe this is what they mean when they say " this is how we do things in Africa" ![]()

I always see postings on the board regarding how one "ships" a roller from one state to another, I believe their problems have been solved. Would you please post this shippers contact info so that everyone may share in your discovery of such an excellent shipping method.

I am sure this guy would attempt overseas shipping using the same truck and a set of oars.

Well, at least he was good enough to put a red flag/rag on the back to make sure followers saw the oversized load. Now, whether that front wheel drive truckette will actually go forward, or turn at speed, is another question.
Perhaps he was originally from West Virginia? I've seen such engineering in that state before.

Antonio,
definately not photoshoped you have my word on it. This is how the vehicle left us, the photo was taken by the new owner on arrival. If i had a camera when he pitched up to collect the car I would have taken a photo aswell.

That's pretty good, but you don't win because you used an actual truck.

Bill the idea is to use a small vehicle and not cut up the big one to get it loaded.
I think we got you beat here. Too make matters worse I stand to be corrected but I think the VW Caddy used is only 1500cc so it was a lot of 1st gear and a really long journey or so I was told by the guy I sold it to.

It's all perspective, man. Mine is an s-10 that looks bigger than it is because of the extended cab, close-up picture, larger tires and lift. The bed is the same size. I cut about 2 1/2 feet off the front and a 1 1/2 feet off the back. He's just poor at packing. If he turned it on its side and cut off what I did it would look identical.
I'll let him win the "poor packing in a slightly older, crappier car" award, if that's what we're vying for here. ![]()
