Angry NY Times at it again!!

Once again the fine, upstanding reporters at the NY Crimes have gotten caught in their lies. Apparently they published a letter from a military member in Iraq, that he wrote to his family.
He wrote how proud he was to be there, But in typical NY Crimes style, they strategically edited the letter to what they felt it should say.
Of course the soldiers family has seen this, and is up in arms.
the paper has totally disgraced their son. They are considering pressing charges against the paper.

This just shows a little bit more , what a bunch of low-life scumbags exist at the NY Times!! I wouldnt even use that paper to pick up my dogs crap.

HERO'S KIN RIP TIMES

By LUKAS I. ALPERT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
November 3, 2005 -- The family of a Marine killed in Iraq slammed The New York Times yesterday for selectively excerpting a letter he wrote predicting his own death, while the paper scandalously ignored a long passage in which he praised America's mission.
"I thought they hadn't finished the story, that they hadn't told the whole story," said Timothy Lickness, the uncle of Cpl. Jeffrey Starr, 22, who was killed in Ramadi in April during his third tour in Iraq.

"I wrote to the Times and said it would be proper to honor Jeff by completing the story. They never responded."

probably just a case of liberal sloppiness... They didn't mean it, it was just sloppy. Docs get forged accidentally, letters are altered, notes are mistaken for quotes, it happens all the time. Just sloppiness.

It's the bias of omission. The LA Times does it routinely.

Vinman, do you have a link to the full story?

You may be onto something...

You mean the Times did not reprint the letter in its entirety? That is scandalous!

Why, they print EVERY letter they receive fully and completely, no matter how long! And they publish EVERY QUESTION AND EVERY ANSWER of every interview they conduct. And they publish the ENTIRE TEXT of every press release they receive.

But they didn't publish the entire letter? Amazing. Yep, more evidence of leftist bias, no doubt about it.

The only reason they persist is because the exceedingly gullible left-wing portion of our population is so very eager to believe it. Anything, and I mean anything at all that casts Dubya in a bad light is latched on to by these folks without question. They are completely unable to reason their way past their biases to see the utter improbability of much of the nonsense they swallow. Example:

Even less reason for thousands of Americans to be sacrificed

So, from what I've seen of this story, I don't see where they've actually lied or anything close to it. It seems the meat of the story is the guy predicting his own death; if they need/want someone to perpetually blather how great they think GWB or the war is, I'm sure [mul|fint] can be put on retainer.

Do "liberal" journalists sell SleepNumber Beds and a host of other Ronco-inspired trash right after they give you the news?

Because right wing apologist press does.

Who has a greater incentive to lie to you? A guy who wants a party elected (because clearly the liberal media has done such a good job here!) or a journalist who personally is making large sums of money off of you?

Hannity gets $300 for EVERY SleepNumber Bed commercial he does.

next time you are listening, count how much he is making off of you in a few hours time. Then mulitply by 260 work days in a year. That's just from Beds.

The original and reprinted letter would actually make this a credible story.

Much more likely the uncle is a rabid bush supporter.

What is it with the neocons jumping to huge conclusions with only shreds of evidence. First we get WMDs, now a tiny snippet of a story in the NY Post.

Jesus guys, if you're going to post something, put some substance in it. Back it up. Otherwise it's just trivial apologist trash.

The mother was on the news last night, they read his letter in its entirety, a HUGE portion of his letter was omitted. Of course the only thing the Crimes printed, was the one negative sentence in a very long letter, and even that sentence was creatively edited.

Dude, everyone know's this, Left and Right, and we've said it many times before. And I'm not so left, just ask Tim H.

Cindy at least appears to have a mission. this woman does not. the story will go nowhere because there is no story.

Now, can I get you to buy a sleep number bed? or maybe a smoke eating ashtray? I've got this great deal on timeshares too.
