Roll Call for the UPM (Ultimate Pelican Meet) March 24-26 Las Vegas - Whose Going?
 

Well folks, time is slipping away and we need to start planning this ultimate meet.

Tabs is working ever so hard at securing us a venue but we need to get some attendance commitiments. Short of providing us any credit card information to book a room(s) for you, we will need to get an idea of how many rooms that will need to be held.

Please let us know if you will be staying the nights of the 23, 24, 25 and how many rooms you will need. Assume that there will not be an option for 2 full or 1 king but you can request smoking (I think).

My wife is staying home, but I will be with my mistress. My girlfriend has a prior commitment but my buddy&%^* may fly in for a night...

I'm a fan of the RIO myself. Do the waitresses still serve in thongs? If so why is there even a discussion of other accomodations?

I intend to be there also, but will probably just sleep where I fall down last.

Tabs was mentioning a new hotel in Summerlin (the best part of Vegas, IMHO). Mindless decadence is a ten minute taxi drive away.

Is anyone working on that track thing or do I need to make phone calls?

Not sure if I want to drive or fly out. I'm not too keen on driving my 944 through the midwest in the middle of winter. Its not the greatest snow vehicle!

Vin - scrape the waterjug and buy the 89 Turbo 4-sale on the board. That way the only thing you have to worry about are speeding tickets and underware changes (something da 44's owners don't worry about)! J/K

That weekend I'm supposed to be going to an all british motorcycle thing in Oakland that weekend with the Rudge Whitworth. I'll think about it, I'd rather go to Vegas with you guys. Maybe I'll change my mind, I have to think about it.

Call me fanatic / crazy but I am actually thinking of coming. I have friends in that neighborhood so no hotel room needed.

Bringing over my Porsche however would border to insanity, so thats out of the question. Still welcome ?

Due to my job situation at the clinic I can not say for sure until beginning of February.

Markus, there will be a number of people without their cars so I would say Yes you are still welcome. Perhaps some of our group will let you ride in theirs at the track.

Spending Thanksgiving in Vegas with the family. If track time can't be set up there's always outdoor karting. Tried it last night for the first time. Wife and son had a blast! The link is below. $65/ half-hour on a Sprint kart. Or, for groups of 5 or more, you can have a two hour session with breaks in between for around $200.
