I have a very good friend that flies 744's for Cathay Pacific, one of the first airlines to get the new Airbus plane. The jokes are flying fast and furious. He said there was a list being distributed asking cockpit crews which additional duties they would volunteer for on the long legs. The list included... bartender, massage spa therapist, handball instructor, art gallery monitor, laundry room technician, etc. In actuality, under present regulations, he said he could do a takoff, and a 4 hour cockpit leg. Stop at the bar, have a drink or two, then check into the crews' quarters, get a 10 hour rest break, shower, dress and be back in the cockpit to do the landing on a completely different 'duty day', all on the same flight. He is holding out to be a massage therapist. BTW, a Boeing 777ER just set a new worlds' record for non-stop unrefueled city pair by a commercial airliner with passengers. Hong Kong to London. 18+ hours.

Nice pic. This spot at the Singapore Changi Airport is about 5 minutes from my home.

I actually got to see it in person about 6 months ago. I was flying out of Telouse (spelling error), France which is where AirBus has a huge factory, also where the 380s are made. It had just made an appearence at the air show in Paris. As we were taking off I looked over...BAM... it dwarfed every other plan parked there. Its HUGE.
