Without all kinds of disparaging remarks and name calling and stuff, help me figure out why abortion is legal based on privacy rights while the gov't can take your home away for public use; 'splain to me why Big Oil is in trouble because of price gouging and Wal-Mart is in trouble because it doesn't; deconfuse me about why tax cuts are so horrible at the same time fiscally-challenged states offer tax incentives to attract commerce; enlighten me as to why a certain senator from Arizona decries the horror of putting girlie panties on a terrorist's head but is silent when a terrorist cuts somebody's head off for szhits and giggles? I don't get it.

Who said they can't? It's called eminent domain. Lookitup. It's taking your home away to hand to a private party that's got people up in arms.

GWB is handing out tax cuts to the richer Americans while more middle-class people are getting stuck under the AMT. There's growing evidence that states/municipalties are just screwing themselves by offering phat tax incentives for companies to relocate.

This was just plain ignorant on the part of whoever orignally wrote it. Reminds me of the joke where GWB and Rumsfeld are drawing up the plans for the Iraq war, and the causalty estimates include 100k dead Iraqis and one blonde with big hooters. Colin Powell asks why they're going to kill a blonde with big hooters, and GWB turns to Rummy and says "See? I told you nobody would care about 100k dead Iraqis!"

Big Oil is in trouble because of price gouging - they should be the crooks!


Wal-Mart is in trouble because it doesn't - they are just a distributor that was real good at neogotiating low prices and a keen sense of how their customers buy not to mention that they are logistic whizrds.


why tax cuts are so horrible - becuase there a re certian folks who "are entitled" to various benefits that cuts may hurt. The become even more dependent on society placing even a greater burdon.

That did not take very long now, did it?

An honest legal scholar(is that an oxymoron?) will tell you that the abortion issue was poorly adjudicated. All the issues you mention are plitically charged, and generate a significant amount of emotion. Neither of which lend themselves to rational thought and decisions. Politicians never do anything because it is "the right thing to do", they do things that they feel will give them political advantage and are in their own, or their party's interest.. Ironic in my opinion, because they are elected to represent their constituents.
