so you got superstitions?

OK...so nobody evidently believes in astrology, i ching, etc. How about superstitions? Or related odd quirks?

When I used to play a lot of softball I never stepped on the chalk lines going on and coming off the field.

When I get gas I always make sure the price ends in an odd number (yeah, that's a crazy one).

Come on....confess....

I will not watch the first Alladin movie by Disney. I don't know why, but I've always felt something terrible will happen to me if I do. Like I would die or something.
Seriously.

I'm on time. Habitually and perpetually. In fact, I'm usually early for everything. Drives my wife nuts. I've tried to chill out on the punctuality thing but I can't. Oh well. gotta go. Can't be late.

No hats on bed, no keys on tables, counter tops are ok.

superstitions, huh. Nope. I'm open minded about ghosts, ufo's etc... but I'm also skeptical of most people that say they've seen them. I'd love to see a ghost or UFO that I couldn't explain, but I haven't seen one yet. No lucky rabbit's feet for me.

I also believe that the far east knows how to tap into abilities that "the west" usually isn't even aware of. I think the whole astrology thing is interesting, but I'm not a big believer even though my signs Chinese and regular Zodiac seem to fit me.

I'm trying to think of any superstition that I may have, but I can't. I usually round my gas numbers up to an even amount, usually in 25 cent increments, but that's not because I'm superstitious, I'm just an anal numbers kind of guy. (not that that statement is loaded or anything)

Well, lessee, every car my current SC motor has been in has been in a serious accident. I think it's the CIS, hence the EFI conversion

Ditto! Same here. One of my other idiosynchrosies is that before I go to sleep, all lights have to be off and the door closed. Even if my cell phone charging light or the small green light that indicates the printer is on, will irk me. Oh, and the blinds have to be completely shut as well. Weird, I know. Hotels/friends houses are an exception.

I've been known to keep a set of rosary beads on my computer. I'm not Catholic, but I suspect my computer is, because it runs better when the beads are nearby. Yes, there is statistical data to support this. Last time I pulled the beads off, it wasn't 24 hours before I had a massive hard drive failure, mechanical style. Bizarre.

I always pump gas into the LEFT FRONT of the 911, but always the RIGHT REAR of the 944.

How weird is that?

I won't sign an organ donor card. They can have all the parts they want when I'm gone, but I won't sign. I know I'll get hit by a truck 2 minutes after I sign it.

No matter what, the kids and the wife get a kiss on a forehead before I leave for work. They all get a kiss on the forehead when they fall asleep at night. When I am on the road, at 7AM no matter where I am or what I am doing, the wife and kids get their wake-up call.

Everyday that is a school day, I call my wife between 3:15 and 3:30 (regradless of what I am doing) and see how the kids day was at school.

I have to do these things or it feels very uncomfortable to the point I feel like I could crawl out of my skin. I don't know if it is superstition or just being a a lttle freaky when it comes to the kids...

Too bad there aren't more people "freaky" like you in the world.
