If you have the time to re-read the thread and really think about it, you may find that the "argument" isn't really that far off the topic. (Yes, I'll admit, I was "poking Officer copper in the ribs" but I can't help myself, it's just my reaction to the uniform! LOL)

Of course, I'm sure that copper will now "set you straight" about U.S. law and explain to you that police officers do have the authority to ban individuals from public property!

Seriously though, I wouldn't want their job for anything in the world, and MOST of them are good guys doing a tough job and have my upmost respect. I always "Yes sir"/"No sir" too, and more often than not, I've been given a break over the years. I absolutely think that's a better approach. On the other side of the coin, I've also had an officer lie in court about how an event occured (he didn't need to, I was going to plead guilty, but he didn't know that at the time), so I see both sides...
