gassy, your setup looks great. it was the in-laws this year for us where quantity rules over quality. they turkey was outstanding though. atypical for that household.

the pic up top with what appears to be two place settings and one of them is for a dog is about the saddest thing that I've ever seen. Cant tell by the color, but is that margarine on the table?

Three settings (and a plate placed later for the dog, for the picture).

And no, real butter.

And to be honest, that was some damn good food. From the sounds of your dinner, I'm sure it was much better.

Turkey
homemade mashed potatoes
homemade gravy
homemade potato salad
homemade stuffing (yes, chop up bread, vegetables, even shread the turkey liver into it for extra flavor...etc....yummy!)
Sweet potatoes (brown sugar, butter, marshmallows)
Edit: green bean casserole
cucumber salad
homemade rolls
cranberry sauce (admittedly, that was out of a can, I need to learn how to make that from scratch)

All my childhood traditional holiday foods....and the best person in the world by me...my mother.

I don't cook as much as I should, but when I do, I do it right.

And to be honest it wasn't sad at all.......trust me, was awesomely relaxing for a change....

I have to say this was a very nice Thanksgiving. But thanks for your concern, as odd as it is.....
