OT Shout Out - how 'bout those Xmas decorations...

Sheesh and whew! All our decorations are up? How about yours?

We actually finished Saturday.

This year it looks like we're determined to blow a breaker!

Yeah, and I even have a digital camera now, but guess whose too freakin' lazy to learn how to use it?

Maybe I can write a visual as said to my wife when I brought up the lit candy canes along the walkway and the snowflakes dangling from the arbor with every other light made:

"Honey," says I. "It looks like a Walmart Xmas display out front."

The nicest part of having the biggest stick (tallest mast) in the marina is that your lights will always be bigger than everyone else's.

Not complete, but getting there. Am in NYC until Sunday, then will finish them in time to head to BoraBora in time for the height of summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

Actually, the boat stays in SoCal. The trip to BoraBora is in a G4. It's still 8.5 hours at 500 knots. Too far for the sailboat just for the holidays.

Forget pics of homes in lights. I wanna see pics of Festivus poles. You haven't celebrated Festivus until you've seen tabs demonstrate his Feats of Strength!!!!

I'm fine with that...... they don't piss me off and I don't shoot em. It's an arrangement that's served us both well for a few decades now.

What drives my Lady bonkers, is the lack of a Theme or the mixture of all ie
Blue icicles, blow up Santa 9 feet tall, and to keep others happy throw in a Nativity scene, and some pulsating lights on the House columns, with a row of candy-canes in the driveway. Me,nothing..but I am threatening to put up some Easter stuff to get the neighbors talking.
A Merry Christmas to all of you.
Rika
