You'll note that only TWO of the four engines were running. No need for the others as well.
Everyone was worried about all those French cars being burned in last months' riots. No loss. They would not have stood up to any crosswinds at all.

Yeah, he (we) got busted later a la black flag for dicing it up into 1......the guy BRAKED into the kink before turn one to wave me past....way after the passing zone ended.

Mythbusters tried to do the same thing but were shut down by insurance/lawyers/and safety crew. Shows how much more fun you can have when over seas.
