You have got to be kidding. Most folks on this board, if they saw you "tagging", would probably shoot your sorry a$$.

Easy killer. I am talking about getting a tattoo, not vandalizing walls. I am looking for artists that know this particualar style....no crime in that.
....and for the record, I do not tag public property, I sketch on paper.

I will have to admit, as a suburbanite, I always find the tags colorful, creative and interesting when I see them on trips to the "big city". It's a fascinating underground culture...

Yeah a lot of my buddies did that when I was living in Boston from the skateboard/snowboard scene. I am going to get my right lower leg done in in the vein of my life. I.e. graffiti, my cartoons, skateboarding, snowboarding in addition to DC and Boston skylines.

Never got the whole giant mural tat thing I see on people. To me it would be like choosing the same shirt for the rest of my life. Way cool at first but I cringe at some of the stuff I wore in university.

I actually have snickered out loud while at a fast food joint giving my order to a kid plastered in tattoos. Do these folks ever think that someday they might actually have a professional job where having a chain around the neck tattoo and love/hate tattooed on their knuckles might not be appropriate? WTF?
I also giggle when I see a 40+ year old "rode hard" woman with a tattoo on her arm. Oh well, my kids will never have one so I guess I will continue to view it as cheap entertainment!

I work in a face to face sales environment with both business professionals and government officials on a daily basis, so I can appreciate keeping the personal tats and piercings under cover. Everything I have had done is covered by, on very casual days, slacks and a polo. Which I did for this very reason. I have good friends that have tats all up thier necks and on thier hands and I wonder what sort of professional careers they will turned away from because of them. On the other hand, it is thier choice and they are not "suit and tie guys," so it works well. They are defiantly not for every one, it is a lifestyle, just like driving a Porsche or wearing a pink tie. Granted, the car can be sold and the tie can be taken off and tats are somewhat permanent but is still what makes you an individual.
A Porsche can make you appear "professional" or "pompous." A pink tie can make you appear "a sharp dresser" or "gay". A tattoo can make one appear a "thug" or "progressive." At the end of the day it is their choice. However they need to understand that that choice will, consciously or unconsciously, have external affect on their life. As a side note, I am not taking offence to anything anyone has said nor am I trying to tick anyone off, I just like to get on the soap box every once and a while......I digress.

i like tats, i hate graffiti.
tattoos are going mainstream. i see more and more hot women getting them, and parading around downtown. i have no objections. graffiti makes me want to kill. nobody ever paints that stuff on their own garage door, or car. take out the vandalism part, and i can dig it.

My friends call the tats on the small of a girls back a tramp stamp.
I have been tempted a couple of times to get one on my bicep but have decided not to, I would not live with it the rest of my life. One of my co-workers is covered with them. Its funny, because when he was getting all of them he was dating a stripper and that was part of the whole lifestyle. Now he is dating the daughter of aPalm Beach socialite and Daddy almost had a heart attack when he saw the new boyfriend shirtless on their yacht. It almost cost him his girlfriend. Good thing grandma stood up for him.

I know an asian tattoo artist in Hawaii. He tells me that when some young girl comes in to the shop and wants "Peace", or "love" in Chinese charachters, he will instead tattoo "Broccoli beef", "Cashew chicken" or some other nonsense. Funny guy.
