Thanks guys! The replies help. As for eye drops? None. I'm supposed to use the eyes as much as possable to get the brain trained. Here is a pic of my eye today. The left one is still clear but the right is as bd as I think it can look. Oh ya, the goo that dries on it over night is a real turn on for the mrs!

Hey man, best of luck and get well soon. Can anyone download the archived Grid Girls collection from Nostatic's website and burn a quick DVD so Mike can...ahem...exercise his eyes? I would except I dont' have the proper hardware.

Geez man that looks painful. I wish you a speedy recovery. How long before you're back to normal?

RickM 12-11-2005 09:24 AM

Best wishes and fast recovery, Mike.

I shudder when I think of how they got to the muscles/nerves.

Oh Haha 12-11-2005 09:44 AM

Maybe you can wear an eye patch on the red eye and say "Arrrgghh" alot. People will think you are a pirate.
Muwahahahahaha!

Well,
I eneded up going to the Cowboys game with my Wife. Great seats and even a better game. Da Boys won! You wouldn't believe the sympathy play a bloody eye gets! Even hard-core redneacks back down real quick when they see the ozz'n peepers!

It just takes some getting used to focusing again is all.

Rikao4 12-12-2005 06:16 AM

Oh my, test here... How many fingers am I holding up ?
you passed ,

You need recover quickly so youŽll be able to read and answer all our lube questions. You know - "What about synth in my '85 ?" etc, etc. ;)

Seriously, what medical condition lead up to surgery ?

id10t 12-12-2005 09:18 AM

Well, at least they didn't have to go thru your rectum to avoid damaging your eye sockets...

Heal fast!

M.D. Holloway 12-12-2005 01:24 PM

Markus,
Its called Strabismus which is a condition where one of the four muscles that control the eye is pulling to hard or not hard enough and it throws off your steriovision. In severe cases it is the "cross-eyed" or the "eye drift" effect.

He did work on bith eyes - with the left one he only cut 3/4's of the posterior rectus and reattached it but the right eye is where he completely cut the anterior (whuch is under and behind the eye) and reattached it. In doing so he nicked a blood vessel and that is why I look like a syth fro Star Wars. He was really embaressed and very apologetic that it happened but he said that it is a very vascular region and it is very difficult if not impossable to avoid such a situation.

The up-side, the red will turn to deep purple, almost black then to go a green then to a yellow before goes back to white. It should only take 2 to 4 weeks. This will make for some great holiday photos!

Hay, it could be gangs worse! I'm feeling very lucky.

EdT82SC 12-12-2005 02:53 PM

Mike, that is one wicked looking peeper you have there. Sucks that it's during the holidays. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm more then a bit fascinated by your eye. Could you give us daily updated pictures?

Nathans_Dad 12-12-2005 03:53 PM

My sister in law had the same procedure done about a year ago and she had the same result with some bleeding into the eye. Lotsa blood vessels in there ya know...

red-beard 12-12-2005 04:08 PM

I blame GE for this.

gassy 12-12-2005 05:14 PM
