reading comprehension is sucky. shotshells!! they dont have much punch. i once shot a dove at 10 feet and it flew off.
i would get a pellet rifle. you will soon appreciate the rats and their entertainment value.

Shotshells....Ha! Get yourself a .44 Magnum (Colt Python or S&W M29) w/ an 8 3/8" barrel (for leverage), and just whack the little SOB over the head with it...much more effective than 22lr shotshells
