That would be the rust-free(no really, i climbed all over and under it)sweet runnin' and shiftin' 2.0 '74 914 with 5 fuchs and 5 pedrini wheels for $2k

Either that or the VW turn signal relay for $8 when they wanted $35 for the same exact relay from PP

Why the very first M&K single in-single out muffler of course!!! Honestly, there's no better reason to hit 7K all day long than this muffler.

three others hit the list:
Weidman RSR finished deep 6s, rears widened to 7Rs (shipped yesterday)

Original early leather sport seats

Excellent early S bumper picked up the other day.

Easy. Turbo sway bars for my 944 N/A. I thought the car handled well before...now...holy *****...really nice improvement...

As for my 911, I bought some polishing compound and finally removed the oxidation from the paint. Looks much better. The only performance improvement I made to the 911 was seat time at autocross last summer. Oddly enough, the more autocross events I attend, the faster the car seems to go...who knew? ...

So you might say the coolest thing you bought this year was a John Walker's Workshop licence plate frame.

A custom length shifter rod. Puts the shift know about 4 inches away from the wheel in 1st and 6 inches away in 5th. Got the idea from a JW thread and applied it to a factory short shifter, had the guys in the machine shop make the extension and weld it all up. Has great feel and only needs a light touch.
A very cool thing.

Im not saying what I paid for it, but I'll nominate my find of a Carrera RS MFI system w/aluminum 019 pump on a shelf of an old hotrod Porsche shop that had been converted to a paint shop. 2nd runner up would be the complete 3.2 short stroke I found under a table in another old local Porsche hotrod shop for less than 1/3 the cost of the amount on the original build sheets.

No, I'm afraid a private investigator may be hired to remove the sticker and want to avoid vandalism to my car.

For my birthday, my wife took a pic of the crest on the hood of the old E, took it to a potter friend of ours and had a jumbo mug with the crest made. Probably in violation of copyright, but a very personal thing.
