It has become the ultimate apocolypse....

Sixteen pages. Most of it spiteful, hateful, drivel.

Well...

Merry Christmas
Peace on Earth
Goodwill toward Men

Now go forth and show some Goodwill. Including here. Even if you don't really like the other son-of-a-b!tch. Do it anyway.

Oh Joe, your utter lack of integrity is disappointing. Just send a check to Mike Holloway made out to Make A Wish Foundation. If you can't do that, well, I overestimated you.

Perhaps another droll comment on girl's clothes would raise your esteem among fellow OT'ers. Go for it buddy! You need it.

What part of teamwork do you not understand??? You posted that "we would get together and work this out" and then you simply did what you wanted to do. Now you want me to follow along like a nice little liberal. You are the one with no integrity, telling everyone one thing then doing another, while refusing to admit it.

Well, aint your lap dog and as soon as you admit your mistake then we can proceed. Oh yea, stop telling me what to do. Sooner you realize that the better.

No need to raise my esteem as its fine where its at, not worried about it but then I am not the one who keeps getting in trouble with posts on the Parts forum and so on. Who mentioned esteem ??

Agree with Capt Carrera, had enough of this thread until after Christmas. G9 does what he wants to, not what he posts in public he is going to do. Its time for a little goodwill and as my part I will not bring this up to G9 again until he either confesses or after Christmas.

Seeing as you brought it up.....again......I don't see anything wrong with what Sheehan is doing. She's excercising her right as an American to voice her opinion. Whether I agree with her or not, I think it's Democracy at it's finest.

Btw-you guys are displaying the Christmas spirit experience that I have come to expect in recent years. Thanks for keeping things status quo.

Death threats-wtf?? This crap survives Z-man and nudity doesn't?

Time to grow up people.

..

Protesting your own country/military overseas during wartime is a bit too much....and more closely fits the tern traitorous than democracy.

I know she is just following in the footsteps of liberals of the past like Kerry, Fonda, and Clinton...but shameful...is shameful.

SLO-BOB 12-25-2005 11:38 AM

I'm not so sure I agree with that Fint. It does pose the thought-where does one cross the line from freedom of speech and expression to being a traitor. Again, I believe it isn't just our right, it's our duty to speak out aginst policy we believe to be wrong-as she clearly does. Now, if she were undermining the war effort directly by espionage, etc. then that's another story. But-if we overturn a policy because we successfully rallied the American people and pressured the powers that be to withdraw, that's democracy. You may not like it, but if it were some lib that was screwing things up, I'll bet you would be vocal about that and rally to get that policy changed. Am I wrong?

Yes, you are. She is in Spain rallying other counties against the US. Although she is so laughable that she is not having much success...her intent is most definitely to undermine the war effort.

I did not go to Europe (nor did other conservatives) and lead protests against our country during our war in Yugoslavia (which, IMHO was certainly illegal and immoral).

I can accept that is a possibility. As I said, there is a fine line between free speech and treason. Who am I to decide where that line is drawn? However....

I did not go to Europe (nor did other conservatives) and lead protests against our country during our war in Yugoslavia (which, IMHO was certainly illegal and immoral).

You didn't lose a child in that conflict, did you? Not quite the same thing is it?

Obviously my answer to this question was:

I do not understand how losing a child applies to your question...or my answer....

But I will take the bait. Since when does losing a family member excuse traitorous acts? Lots of Americans lost family members in WW2....How many went overseas and supported the Nazis? and if they did...would you excuse that too?

Of course I would not protest against my country in overseas during wartime...under any conditions....especially since we are free to do so at home. There is absolutely no excuse.

SLO-BOB 12-26-2005 06:22 AM

It wasn't bait. But I did figure you would answer that way. It's a logical answer.

Again my point-I'm not convinced it's a traitorous act to voice your opinion about the war-even in Spain. I know I'm against it and have verbalized as much.

I do understand your point of view. I'm not even saying your wrong. It's just not as black and white to me as it seems to be to you. I'm sure the distinction blurrs even more when you lose a child in a war you dissagree with-again, part of my point.

If she really is a traitor by legal definition, then she's in big trouble wouldn't you say?

Voicing one's opinion is certainly different....from traveling overseas and leading protests against one's country.

It is not liked someone asked her opinion and she answered. She has launched a campaign against her country and its military...and has taken that to other countries for support.

No, she is in no trouble. She is protected by politics...just as Kerry and Fonda were. Or just overlooked due to her lack of effectiveness....as Clinton's protests were. No one will go after them and risk becoming target of what happened to McCarthy (which is exactly the intent of the relentless, dishonest attacks against him to this day).
