Your point is somewhat of a non-sequitur... Can't one be concerned about both situations? Does one have to be "on the right" to worry about police coming to your house because you expressed an opinion regarding homosexual rights?

HOLY CRAPOLA! Where ya been???

This consulting/working on my own time crap has left me with much more time away from the computer.

Used to be, I had to be in the office 10 hours a day, so time on the boards was wasting my employer's time (er... so to speak). Now, I don't have to be at the desk, so I don't have time to kill hereon.

I've checked in every so often, but most of the "arguments" go about their familiar pattern. Something new is alleged about Bush. Everybody predisposed to "Bush=Hitler" mania immediately swallows the story whole and refuses to admit even the slightest contrary (albeit actually factual) evidence into their little world.

So, while tatering the snot out of those folk can be fun for a while, I turned in my Sisyphus hat and did a few things I'd wanted to do for a while -- became a certified interior firefighter, becoming a paramedic and joined the county's dive rescue team. You know, the usual.

However, all bullshyte aside, when/if I have free time to kibbitz and banter with a crew, it'll be right here with the rest of the Misfit Toys.

So, cops should be running these kind of comments down -- it's the "right thing" for them to do? Don't they have lots and lots of other, more freaking important shyt to do as cops? Unless you want lots and lots more cops, running down every theoretically potentially, possibly feeling-hurting comment. Then you'd have the police state we crypto-fascists utopianize.

Now, off to dart league. Free advice -- if you're unmarried, signing up for a 22-week dart league season sounds like a much cooler idea than it turns out to be. If you're married, it's your one-night-a-week-to-go-out-and-do-something-not-too-dangerous-with-the-boys. If you're single, it screws up a good night of drinking and carousing after a while.

Glad your back JP, but the police did not know what the actual comments were, only what was alleged, that's why they had to investigate. So I guess you would like them to pick the ones they want to investigate. I don't think so.

It would be a concern for all if she had been found guilty of a crime purely for the things written in the article. That would be PC BS. And then the title of this thread would be appropriate.

First off, the title of the thread refers to "the Left", as a political movement made up of people who, among other things, like to use government power to silence people whom they don't agree with (In this case through crazy speech codes). Thankfully, in America, unlike in the UK, it doesn't yet represent "half of the country", which, by the way, would be approximately 140 million people. Where you got from my original post that I was attributing anything to 140 million, let alone 280 million Americans, only you, in your delusional state can fathom.
