I would drive by there in another car, hand him the steering wheel and ask him what he is going to do about it. His lack of professionalism cost you a steering wheel and almost more, so he should replace it. JoeA

saw 3 car accidents on my local road yesterday. I live here for 7 years and never saw an accident on this road, seems like people are loosing their mind over this x-mas. One of the guys in a badly smashed mustang was wearing santa's hat

I have witnessed the most incredibly bad driving on the freeways of Southern California in the last 48 hours that I have ever seen. This includes living in Guangzhou, China. This years holiday season seems to have brought out the worst in everyone here. Merry Holidays and Happy Christmas to y'all.

procon; I have an '83 944. I think I had (buried in the hangar somewhere) a spare steering wheel. I was pretty sure it is metal, tho. Leather wrapped and padded. Is it the same? You are welcome to it if it would work. I'll see if I can dig it out.

Aside from the fact that you and your car were almost hurt, it is kind of funny. I can picture it happening, like a scene out of a movie. Now make some lemonade out of these lemons, time for a late Christmas MOMO gift!
