Wha's your favorite Madonna album?

Just wondering.

Music - Went and saw her live in Miami in 2000 when she toured the album.

She used Ali G in her video (he was the limo driver) before he was famous.

I do not know if your making a joke or not but my wife is a huge fan and I never really liked her. But after seeing her live, wow. She can put on a show.

Plus we used to go clubbing a lot in the mid 90's and early 00's so her music is a staple of the club scene.

I can't even *name* a Madonna album, let alone have a favorite.

I do like some diverse stuff though, so there's nothing wrong with being a Madonna fan. I get equally excited by Al Stewart's "Year of the Cat" as I do by Tool's "Parabola".

I don't care for Madonna on a personal level. If she just dropped into oblivion and never surfaced again in the news, that would be fine with me. I don't care for her stance on politics and this whole getting an infant from a poor farmer thing really rubs me the wrong way (though I admit I don't know all the details and don't care much either as long as the kid is O.K.). I'm really sick of hearing her spout off about this and that over the years... I just don't care what she has to say about anything.

However, musically, I think she had some of the best producers and musicians work on her albums. That's cheesy, drippy, polished pop at it's finest. "Immaculate Collection" is a must have for any '80's pop music fans. She's actually a pretty good vocalist and puts on a hell of a live show.

"Like A Prayer", "Like a Virgin" and "True Blue" are classic cheesy pop albums and are just plain good stuff if you like this kind of synth pop junk. Her stuff from the '90's was marginal at best... "Confessions on a Dance Floor" sounds terrible from an audio standpoint (mixed WAY too bright), but it's a solid dance album once you get used to it.

Watching Madonna do "Vogue" on the MTV music awards back in '89 while I was in college was a treat. Ignore her specifically and watch the production on that and it's great.

I'm convinced (based on being a [crappy] musician myself that has been working semi-pro since I was a teenager) that most extremely gifted musicians are whacked in the head and exibit some really strange behavior at times...

while this question feels a bit like a thinly disguised 'gay poll' in that other thread , i have to say that listening to "ray of light" on a good system really opened my eyes. the sound engineering that went into that one is trully amazing. the vocals are crystal clear and the music pin-point accurate. really well produced. i don't know whether others were created w/ that much care, but i liked this one enough to get my own.

She is an entertainer. She is not a politician. Anytime an actor actress musician etc.. tries to spew off about politics or moral choices I ignore them.

Like Busta Rymes tellin gme to not download and steal music. Sure, I'll listen to you, you pothead drug addict, because your such a law abiding person.

I do not care what Madonna does in her personal life, what accent she speaks with, or what car she drives. I want to be entertained, is I like the sound of the music and quality of the voice singing or lack thereof, my choice.

I can never understand why society put weight on what a "star" does in their personal lives. They got lucky and made lots of money doing whtever it is they do. That does not make them an instant expert on world problems.

Not a fan here nor do I own any of her work but I have to agree, the production quality is second to none.

My tastes vary from Pavarotti to Bocephus to Emminem. I have never shut out an artist and kept an open mind, I have never cared what others think of a certain kind of music. You'll miss out on some good stuff.

The radio station in Bucharest that was on the radio had somesort of Micheal Jackson song on about him being turned on by some chick.

Material Girl, Like a Virgin and Vogue are about all I know of her stuff. Oh I guess I saw "Justify your love" and I remember she wrote "like a prayer" just to stick it in the eyes of christians and specifically catholics.

Oh, and she now exludes her children from stuff likke she produced all her life. WTF? You aren't proud of the offal you've produced?
