I think SteveS is an outstoken individual who shares adimately what others do not have the balls to say in this politically correct liberal world.
Granted I briefly viewed the linked website, but I do not consider it offensive or rediculous ideas at all. Are you guys saying that Jane Fonda is a patriot? Do you all support beastiality and abortion being taught on our tax-dollars? I would hope not. The whole women in the military thing is mixed for me. I theory I do not think battle is something women need exposure to or would be an area of advantage. Then again I have know many men (that is a stretch) which I would be afraid to go into combat with, mostly mentally weak soft idealists. Basically any man who cannot kill (in theory) an animal to eat will crumple under the pressures of war. Basically there should be more vegetarians in this world because most people are soft. To come full circle on this I have seen women that are stronger than most men and that I would be happy to fight and die with. On a personal note my wife and I for the first time sat down together and read Revelations in the Bible. I am not a holy roller by any stretch of the imagination, but I can tell you that many in our society will be burning with the devil for thier worldy indiscretions... For all I know I will be burning too for one reason or another, but I will have lots of company. Lets just look at the numbers of abortions and homosexuals, both strictly forbidden in the Bible. Seriously, I served this country and came close to a terrorist attempt the Belgian Police stopped while it was starting. I do not believe that all Muslims hate Americans. I do believe that everyone has a right to their opinion, but not the right to force that opinion on the rest of us/the world. While I do support military/subversive action against terror groups, I would never support a strategic strike against an entire nation. I would carry out the lawful order from those appointed above me. Many of my superiors were women! I proudly served under their direction as they served with honour. Phrases such as marking/labeling who our enemies are and segregating those who look, act, practice religion, or share a common genetic background with them remind me of something. Many in my family died fighting Hitler and his ilk. This bombing reminds my mother of working through air raids in London. It hits very close to our lives. Steve has his right to believe what he wants, but I do not follow that extreme point!! David |

Look Saffs and anyone else. Everytime I stop for a moment and Think about the consequences of escalation, I remember the numbers. 2,000. 3,000, maybe 20,000 people. People with opinions from yours to mine who don't know whether it was a war or a just a jet; one act, or the first of many.
If we had this attitude in the early 1940s Saffs, England would have fallen to Hitler in time--or if not to Nazis, then to the giant who they had really angered, the Soviets. That sad attitude of trying to reason or target the unreasonable or untargetable is stupid. Also, let's remind we bombed Berlin. There weren't any military bases in Berlin folks, at least not in the densely populated places we targeted. The whole point was to kill civilians, and we did a hell of a job, clocking in around 3 million german civilians by the end. If it's good for Germans, it's good for anyone else. And today, Germany stands still. We do what we must. |

Markus30, the beastiality reference is from the listed website link. Interesting stuff, granted I have not heard of most of this subject matter before.
As to the idea of basically revoking all work VISAs and student VISAs. I think this is a little early in the game to go ahead with these measures, BUT if matters progress and we stay on Delta alert they will be revoked. I am sure exceptions are made for those in foreign military or war efforts. So keep laughing, but it could happen. I think most people are not ware of the severity of this issue. We are dealing with people that have a deathwish, that is hard to fight against. Think on a larger scale into germ warfare where cities water supplies could be tainted... Of course there is even the chance that terrorists could detonate our own nukes on American soil... Right now the military is fairly hands off, but I could see some horrible scenarios where you have armed personel on every street corner. People we are at war... Think like an animal up against the wall. To be quite honest I am scared stiff as to what will happen next. I think Kurt B and myself are sharing a lot of the same feelings at this time from his previous comments. My game face is on! It's one thing to be outspoken and speak your mind. Having an opinion and broadcasting it over the internet is fine - that's the nature of the medium. Openly insulting individuals, however, is just plain crass and uncalled for. I can deal with your theories about Hitler and even read your posts about how all foreign-born Americans should leave the country - and I put as much stock into that stuff as I do Stromberg's lunatic meanderings. When you start insulting people directly, however, you make a statement about yourself. A very strong one. And at the end of the day, people's opinions about you, personally, are strongly changed. You're no longer a fellow Porsche owner; now you're a racist. And racism and intolerance is what got thousands of people killed on Tuesday. America now has slim tolerance for racism. That's fine with me. My grandfather talked of barroom brawls with German sympathizers during WWII. If you may recall, before we entered the war, there was much talk of encouraging England to pact with Germany and then for America to join the two, mainly for doing away with the Soviets, but it was a pact considered nonetheless. Didn't work out that way, but it was close.
And with my life at stake here, it's no longer just idle talk from my end. You're a liability to me primarily because you live in NoPlace USA and your opinions are affecting my life in the middle of everything. On those grounds, we share the same disdain for each other. The Porsche brotherhood, in case you haven't noticed is over forever. And such a shallow thing it was in hindsight. I've no interest in that hunk of metal in light of these things. The idea that I thought about that machine so much before makes me queasy. Nothing now makes any sense at all. |
This is definitely an interesting discussion. Much more entertaining than anything on stangnet! Anyway, I don't believe that we can deport everyone who is not a U.S. citizen. If we do, where would Bush get his votes in three years? Just kidding. I, like many, believe that the U.S. is the greatest place on Earth. Why else would a person jump in a raft, but to escape unacceptable living conditions and to obtain the opportunity to better themselves.
Now then, I do believe that our airline security has been a little below par, but when a person is willing to kill himself/herself, along with others, there is really no foolproof method of protection. I really hope we can discuss things like this seriously, but not obnoxiously in the future. I am willing to listen to everyone's opinion, and gladly offer mine to the discussion. I really appreciate all of your tips regarding porsches, and I definitely don't want to miss out on any helpful information because of something I might have said. Just my opinion... I have been to the USA on a three-times-a-year basis since 1988 and have many friends in your country (actually, isn't Stromberg a foreign name? Maybe it isn't your country after all...) the majority of whom are level-headed, intelligent people. What is sad is that, in Europe at least, the image of so many Americans is of gun-toting militia nuts sneaking about the hills looking for 'them dang forinners'. I frequently defend the truth about what US folk are really like. But your attitude and conspiracy theories do the image of America on a world scale no good at all. According to some, I cannot be accorded the benefit of freedom of speech:
1) I'm not a U.S. citizen 2) I don't live in the U.S.A. and, I've read that (due to the above), the U.S. Constitution would -allegedly- not guarantee me the above privileges. I'm very surprised and, not being an expert on constitutional law, I nevertheless have a hunch that such statements were made in error. (Constitutionalists, please inform me!) And, in case/if the U.S. Constitution would NOT be applicable to foreigners, then A) It wouldn't be worth the paper it is written on (which I do not believe) B) In spite of that, I still make statements via the Internet Please do note I did and would again observe 3 minutes for the poor people who burned, jumped to their deaths, were maimed, lost their loved ones, etc. but would recommend others to exhibit some regard for the many many other ones who suffered likewise because of the cynical attitudes of power and machismo galore. This is not to be construed as in defence to the terrorists. I offer my apologies to Wayne if perhaps my tone has gone a bit ...upset... and I don't want to offend any one. Enough is enough. BTW, yes, I believe it's time to stick to Porsche cars. |

I am sure that all the people who gave up their lives for this country to protect your freedom of speech are overjoyed with your use of this freedom. I hope that your limited intellect can grasp the fact that your ancesters were at one time foreigners in this country. And that someone, somewhere allowed them into this country and allowed them to stay. These facts are often lost on mental midgets like you and Planter91C2. Fortunately, this thread shows that you hold the minority view. I am proud of the responses on this board. I meet people like Steve daily. They are mostly uneducated, blue collar workers who are frustrated with their lives. They seem to gravitate to extremist ideology to fill a void in their lives. Yesterday a patient of mine hugged me and thanked me for being there for her. I save lives every day as an Oncologist/Surgeon.
