Congrats!

I'd throw you a party but I would want to get you to excited. I know how you old people like to pee your pants.

Congrats!

When you retire and you already live in FL, where do you move to?

Bell, I'm looking outside of Newcastle, Ellwood City, Beaver Falls areas. My family is all in Cleveland and I have been here for 20 hurricane seasons...time to go. Yes I know it snows but I plan on working at two cottage jobs so I won't have to go out in it much. Of course there is some band up there that needs a bass player too. Looks like I'll be buying a FWD truck though.

Thanks pbs! I read it fine. Tcar I have been a slave for a major newspaper for 20 years. selling the house cashin' in and gettin out of here to less expensive digs. My wife retired from a major airline a few years ago. Now it's my turn. Can't wait. I plan on working at what has been a hobby for a while, restoring vintage SXS shotguns, selling on ebay and doing the gunshow circuit. Of course i will still play music too. A slave no more!

Given my prior lifestyle, I didn't think I would get this far. Now that I have grandkids ( I'm poppa T-Bird to them, I couldn't get Pimp daddy T-Bird approved) I'm glad I'm still around. Now I can SUGAR THEM UP AND SEND THEM HOME!

Happy birthday!

And congratulations on some good retirement planning! When I'm 55, I'll have a 9 and a 13 year old. Barring unforseen fortune, I'll be working a long, long time

I too had no reason to believe I would be alive at 48 years of age.

Happy birthday, to you and Joe.

Thanks to all. it has been a great day. After work my wife took me on a date to the shooting range for 100 rounds, then I stuffed myself with ribs for dinner. Came home to a Loews gift certificate for $150.00 from my kids (?) It don't get any better, life is good and you all are a big part of that.

Thanks,

Old T-Bird

Congrats on that - not easy to do.
So, I guess "Angry & Irrational Child" is just for old time's sake, eh?
