Appearing in motion picture question...

I know there are a couple (or more) people here who work in the motion picture industry.

I have been offered the possibility of appearing in one with my car, but I have some questions that I hope somebody could offer some input on.

I cannot make this a public discussion at this time, so PM me only if you have some real industry experience from which to answer my questions.

Thanks.

Get it in writing that you'll be 'pitching' and not 'catching'

My father did it a few times.

Lots of sitting around.

make sure you have in writing how they plan on using your car, and how they intend on cleaning up any stains.

And the vinyl seats are easy to clean!!

I've seen one where they are using the hood of a Porsche has kind of a, ahem, bed. If so, make sure you give a good waxing.:)

special skilled actor rates - if driving. - Do not allow camera mounts on your car - keep your eyes on your car at all times - try to negotiate a "damage deposit" Take lots of fresh digital photos of car - preferrably taken by picture car coordinator/wrangler. Ensure security overnight - continuity concerns will not allow you to take car home between shooting days. Document mileage to ensure no "monkey business".
Expect to be anxious - people/cameras/equipment in close proximity to car.

You got to work with "Wojo" from "Barney Miller". Amazingly enough, that is my favorite Sitcom and my Wife's Mom and Dad's names are Max and Gayle. Believe It Or Not!! (true).
