The man called his wife's 10 best friends. - None of them knew anything about it. Friendship Between Men: A man didn't come home one night. The next day he told his wife that he had slept over at a buddy's house. The woman called her husband's 10 best friends. Eight of them confirmed that he had slept over and two claimed that he was still there.

I actually had that happen to me. Was sleeping one night when around 1 a.m. the doorbell rings. Friend's girlfriend was standing there. She tells me her boyfriend (good friend of mine) had called and claimed he was at my house drinking. Of course I said he had been (never saw him that night). She leaves and I am immediately on his cell phone to give him a head's up.

I am one of my friend's alibi all the time. He has convinced his wife that I am the antithesis of all things moral. Senior Captain, divorced 12 years, hundreds of sex-starved flight attendants throwing themselves at me in the red 911 or at the large sailboat, keeping a constant party-time schedule doing god knows what.......
That he is always 'rescuing me' from my latest foible. He has stopped telling me what he has told her, or even when we were 'together in some adventure'...... First off, every time I run across her in the parking lot at work, she looks at me like I am the devil incarnate; and second... this is a train wreck waiting to happen. Not even sure that the term 'friend' applies anymore. If she only knew how 'not' like that I am. Sorta wish I was, haha.

I had a friend who always tried to make me his alibi. Unfortunately, his stories were usually designed to get me in more trouble than him (so that even if his lie was found out, he stilled looked better).
I got a call from him Thanksgiving weekend. I didn't answer the phone. He left a message along the lines of "Great news! I'm a father!" I decided that he has now become a mess with which I do not want to become entangled. (I'm sure he'll figure out a way to make me the "real" father so he can weasle out of child support at some point.)
