Question Porsche 911 Sales Figures

I am doing a statistics project in math now and I have decided to get statistical data for car sales (the Porsche 911 in general). I have been thinking of comparing sales over the last 40 years (from 1964-2004) using sales in the U.S. and RoW sales as my comparing areas. Does anyone know where I can get this information (the # of 911's sold in U.S. versus RoW)?

Thanks in advance.

PCNA puts out press releases with sales figures for North America on a regular basis.

You can also use serial number tracking on the cars built before the 17-digit mandate to calculate total production. There were contemporaneous statements by PAG about what percentage of sales were represented by the US... but it's going to be a lot of forensic investigation.

You might just write to PCNA and PAG and ask...

The book ORIGINAL PORSCHE 911 by Peter Morgan has all 911 production numbers from 1964 til the mid-90s. The intervening years should be easy enough to find on the internet.

I'm not sure if production numbers differ hugely from sales numbers, but maybe it will help...

Thanks CJFusco and techweenie. I'll check out the Original Porsche 911 book. I was amazed at how hard it was to find production #'s on the internet. The closest I got was using porsche.com lol.
