The CNN report on the study used the word "schadenfreude" to describe the results. Not quite right. The study indicated that men take satisfaction only in watching a transgressor punished. Schadenfreude means taking pleasure in another's misfortune. I would say the results had more to do with a heightened emotional interest in justice than "misfortune." Good for men.
