Angry We have a lousy president

"The new operation of Al Qaeda has not happened not because we could not penetrate the security measures," Mr. bin Laden said, according to Al Jazeera's Web site. "It is being prepared and you'll see it in your homeland very soon"

September 11, 2001 to January 19, 2006

That's four years and four months.

And ObL still lives, and taunts us.

What an incompetent buffon we elected. What a disgrace.

Wow, where to start?

OBL is hiding in Pakistan. A country that we need more than needs us. It's president (dictator, really) has a tenuous grip on power, and we are very unpopular with the general populace. Allowing ground forces in would be political suicide for Musharraf. That leaves OBL hiding in a place where we can't get to him.

We could charge in, but OBL would run. This very act could very well destablilize the marginally cooperative Pakistani government and would almost certainly be replaced with something much less friendly. By the time we located OBL, we'd be very less welcome than we were when we charged in. I thought you were all against causing the overthrow of unsavory dictators?

Bottom line is, our only real strategy is to wait for OBL to slip up. Do you think we are not doing this?

I think he should be dead. I think every breath he takes mocks and weakens us around the globe. I think the entire $300B that we have spent in Iraq would have been better spent killing him.

I think our president would be over his head as the manager of the local Dominos.

Totally agree. OBL should be dead.

Any more stupid posts coming up by Rodeo in the near future? Please adjust your tin hat so that the rays stop getting in causing you to post drivel on the forum again!

Pretty much have to agree with this.

Though as to your first post, I tend not to take everything OBL says as truthful. i suspect the 'your secureity measures havent' deterred us' statement to mean the exact opposite.

I think he is probably clueless from an operational point of view. And I did not mean to imply that I believed anything other than the fact that he is alive, and capable of broadcasting his propaganda around the world.

His statements have tremendous motivational value for the enemy. The fact that he still breathes is, as I have said, a disgrace.

i got a bushism calender for xmas from my moms. it has afforded me to sit down at my desk every morning and read a dubya quote that is either stupid, absurd, a lie, or all of the above. it's better than special K having some special W for breakfast every morning

like today for example--

"I'm hopeful. I know there is alot of ambition in Washinton, obviously. But I hope the ambitious realize that they are more likely to succeed with success as opposed to failure." 1/18/01

tomorrow's--

"There is a huge trust. I see it all the time when people come up to me and say ' I don't want you to let me down again'" 10/3/00

I rest my case.

Lets see, it took how long to catch the unibomber? And is was in the USA. So what is so hard to figure out that finding OBL isn't easy, and when you add the fact that he could be in one of many countries, not freindly to the US.

I don't know everything, but I know we blew this one.

What do you know? That it was in our national interest to let him escape and to taunt us, to allow his to serve as a figurehead for every radical nutcase on the planet, to show everyone we are so incompetent we cannot kill one man in more than 4 years?

What exactly do you know? That we are better off bogged down militarily and economically and politically in Iraq while this animal continues to spew his hatred around the globe? Tell us, what do you know?

How many followers did the unibomber have? How many tapes did he broadcast to the world?

How many people did he kill?

Rodeo,
So your calling our military bungling, incompetent, fools. You think they let OBL go because of Bush?? Either way you are calling our military incompetent.

What about the reward for OBL? I think its up around $25million or so. That should be motivating enough for a lot of people to go OBL hunting, and yet no one has nailed him.

Incompetence is the left wing news media leaking top secret info, like "we are listening to his cell phone". Just helping Bush out, they were.

every time Bush speaks, it's a terror tape.

with his illegal war in Iraq, he has destroyed exponentially more lives than OBL could ever dream of.

The unibomber killed 3000 people and declared war on the U.S.?

You're an apologist, and a good Republican one too, diverting the subject and attacking the messenger. The military has done all that was asked of them, and more. The civilian leadership are criminally incompetent.

Our stupid president can't even spy on Americans without making a mess of it, sending thousands and thousands of useless leads to the FBI so they can spend their time wasting their time.

This president is a fool. Anyone that does not recognize that is a fool.
