OC Ticket Campaign Has Started -IT IS REAL

Hi All,
Earlier there was a thread that there might be a ticketing campaign in South Orange County starting Jan 25th, and it was dispensed as being fault, and something the authorities would not do. WRONG.

As of this morning, there are law enforcement everywhere!!! I have been seeing people getting tickets everywhere.
1. Started in Aliso Viejo and saw someone getting a ticket on El Toro Road. ~745AM
2. Took PCH from Laguna Beach to Newport. 2 Motorcycle cops setting up in the usual positions near Crystal Cove. Normal day there are no CHP but only on Crystal Cove Saturdays. ~8AM
3. Ticket being given on the 55 near MacArthur. ~815AM
4. Lunch 405 near Fountain Valley. Another ticket being given.
5. Employees at work were also talking about this along the 5 Fwy from Downey/Norwalk to the 55.
6. Going home, another ticket being issued in Laguna Hills -El Toro Road near Laguna Audubon area. ~630PM
7. Going up Aliso Creek Road at El Toro Road-Another ticket being issued. ~630PM

On a normal day, I do not see any police inforcement.

Lets all be careful for a few weeks!!

I didn't see alot of enforcement out today except one K-9 unit on my way to work but I wasn't particularly looking. But thanks for the heads up, I will be very careful and move the radar detector from the P-car to the other for awhile just in case.

Geez Richard,

If you won't be driving any of your "fun" cars, I guess you won't be driving anything, eh? Is there a bus stop near your house?

Ralph

Saturday I popped onto PCH, from Sunset, between Sunset and PCH I saw 4 CHP and 1 Santa Monica cop...I lately, quite frequently, see CHP ticketing right off the off-ramp to Sunset Blvd off the 405 North...I usually rev at them cause there aint a snowballs chance they can catch me down Sunset...

Bzzzzt, thankyouforplaying...

Sorry, it is an urban legend that is flying around the internet.

Hint: If the email says "Send this to everyone you know" then it is a bunch of bull and what they want is for you to send it to everyone you know.

Try searching www.Snopes.com for "Ticket Frenzy"

This same basic 'warning' started in New Jersey, moved to Tennessee, and has now resurfaced in California.

I sometimes go weeks without seeing anyone pulled over. Sometimes I see a number of people pulled over in a single day. It isn't a conspiracy. It is only random chance.
