Quick iPod question?

Can you rip CDs onto iTunes in original AIFF format then load them into iPod that way? Will iPod play a mixed collection of MP3 and AIFF? I know if I convert to AIFF, I will reduce my playlist capacity significantly, but I only have 12 gigs of MP3s on my 40 gig iPod anyway.

AFAIK, yes, all that's possible. You can also use Apple Lossless encoding if you're concerned with sound quality.
