False Alarm Tonight

Well, some sort of Alarm system fault. The Alarm is beeping, but not in the normal way and it woke the wife up.

So, someone had to search the house, room by room, flash light and gun.

Man I'm tired

And I need to work on my House Search techinque.

Actually, I was caught a bit flat footed. Since the range trip, only my .32 ACP was in the drawer. Normally I keep a .45 in the nightstand.

The good news: It was a false!

Which sector tripped? I have been having problems with the motion sensor in one of the rooms and turns out that it had gone bad.

Look at your keypad and it should give an alarm code. Open the door and check which number it is and it should tell you were the breach was, and making the search a lot easier.

No breach. There was some sort of error in the system and just required a system reset from the alarm center. But I did a full house check just to be sure.

Nope, a full wired system, built into the house when it was constructed.

I don't expect the dogs to stop someone once they're in the house. I do expect them to let me know they're coming. A person or animal can't get within 20 ft of our house without the dogs going crazy.

Check your back-up battery. They last about 5 years.
