And global warming in the 60's and 70's was going to cause massive flooding, death and destruction by the year 2000.
Hey, look! The sky is falling.... |

The jury is still out on the WMD issue. It keeps getting dragged out simply as a bludgeon. A meaningless slanderous seditious attempt to undermine the war and attack the credibility of one of the greatest Presidents America has seen. Bush is a peace-maker. He liberated over 50 million people, he went after terrorists boldly, he revived the economy from the inherited Clinton recession, he split the ME in two, he put Iran inside an American sandwich, he set up a strategic partner with a previous enemy (Iraq), and he set up bases in what were once hostile territories. Is Bush perfect?...What a silly question...Bush is lightyears ahead of the integrity, honesty, character and intelligence of anything the left is offering. |

yea, but if Sheehan tried to wear that shirt in any number dictatorships around the world, she'd be jailed!
Originally posted by Joeaksa Exactly! If you would try this today in: Cuba, China, Mexico, Russia, Burma, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iran and many other countries you would be put in jail . Sorry, can't get this out of my head. It really shows how confused the Bush fascists are -- throw Sheehan in jail and justify it by pointing out that America is, after all, a free country. Joe unwittingly compares us to North Korea -- and we loose! (or tie) |
NOT BUSH....
Decision made by Capitol Police. |
Sorry, not the point. The Capitol Police admit it was an error, and I didn't mean to imply that the admin had anything to do with the arrest.
Yet the Bushies on this board continue to defend the arrest, by pointing out that if you wore that shirt in Iran, you'd be arrested! I just find that incredibly ironic and funny (guess I'm the only one) |

I also find it ironic and funny that this attention whore is bemoaning the loss of her right to freedom of speech on national television, and getting more coverage for her t-shirt than had she sat quietly for the speech (which I do not believe for a second she would do). Tom |

Pro or con--both were evicted from the gallery. Sheehan was arrested, but then charges were dropped--which actually worked in her favor, as there is a 3-1 ratio of stories about her arrest vs. the congressman's wife's eviction. So, once again, Big deal:rolleyes: |
What does race have to do with it?

You're right. Al Sharpton is a silly hag.....

The arresting officer shouldn't just be diciplined, he should be arrested for violation of federal law, specifically TITLE 18 - PART I - CHAPTER 13 - § 242. Deprivation of rights under color of law which is a felony. Prosecute enough of these federal goons, and it'll slow down. |
