His naive, non deliberate statement did however put a finger on the ironic fact that a cast out Arab with a fundamentalist's terror agenda has made an enormous impact on current international affairs. Siding him with Bush was double irony, coming from an ignorant kid.
The Bin ladden's gave Bush his power.........they will forever be linked.

Relax. My post was not political per se. It was not wright nor left. In fact it had nothing to do with any political persuasion at all. It was simply a naive, but ironically amusing random sentence made by a young boy. A boy that obviously would have very little knowledge of the political state of the world.

Well... you shoulda said that up-front! I apologize if I sounded like a meat-head.

Probably my bad from the start. When it comes to expressing myself in the English language, the subtle differences is hard for me to comprehend. Thats life for a durn for'ner - it does not always come out as I intend it to do. ;)

This OT board is also a very difficult one- you might be searching for subtlety when none exists- or none was intended, or none deserved!

Like I said in my PM- your English is still better than most on this board, and probably better than 90% on other American car boards!

What I find most amusing about this whole thing is what people from other countries know about us and we don't about them. And that is really sad.

The 10 year old knew who the president of the US was, when you ask ANY 10 year old from the US who the prime minister of the England is you would be hard pressed to receive a correct answer.

I was in a cafe in the south of France, a town of no more than 500 people in beautiful rural wine country (a completely wonderful place I might add) and the waitress at the table knew that IL had voted democratic and in turn was nicer after knowing we had voted against Bush. I cant tell you what kinda of government France has, let alone tell you who is running it. It was a humbling experience. Too often the US and its people are so close minded and so egotistical. Honestly there are times im ashamed to be an American.
