Vintage Honda Motorcycle Forums

Interested in getting a vintage Honda Motorcycle to cruise to the store in.

Wasn't able to find any forums, anyone know of one?

Thinking of like a CB100 or similar vintage.

Michael

Nah,

Get a 250 or 305 model!

Wish I had never sold mine...

I've got a buddy that evidently is recognized as one of the vintage Honda experts in this country. He's got something like 50+ vintage Hondas. PM me and I'll get you his email address...

Joe- That scrambler brings back some fine memories! They had a sound all their own. Very fun!
I have the 3rd generation model of that bike. It's a '73 XL250 with only
1300 original miles. I bought it new, but had other bikes to ride at the same time. It's the 4 valve, single cyl. four stroke, that will run on gasoline or corn liquor, as advertised by Honda.

You have to get the 400 Four, end of story. Seriously, many of them are cool. But they are gutless, so don't be afraid of something larger than a 100. Good luck!

I had a CB550F and a CB750, some of the best machines I ever owned, the 550F in particular.

How about a Ducati? You know, something with a little personality?

Aaron,

That does have personality but it will also kick your rear at the same time! Is that yours?

Nope! That's what I'd like to do to my CB750 when I find some time to breathe.

Pay a visit to Carpy's site; the guy's a riot:

Here's a cool site for older bikes, specifically the Cafe Racer types: http://www.teamobsolete.com/

I met the "founder" of the club when selling him a lathe. Real nice guy. Had a lengthy discussion on fabrication.

I'll ask for him: Anyone know of any mettal spinners out there? They use a special cone shaped tool on the head of a lathe and can work a piece of sheet metal into a cone or bowl shape.

Also, anyone have any old metal "beater" bags for sale. Used for pounding metal into shape...usually a leather bag filled with shot or some other type of substance. He says the new ones out there are crap.
