The Rolling Stones should have all been shot after Exile on Main Street. They are embarrasing now, and quite frankly, they were never really all that good anyway.

That's going a bit far. They definitely have some classic, timeless tunes and most of their live shows are awesome events most attendees will never forget. Ask some teeny bopper in 20 yrs. how timeless their Brittney Spears or Backdoor Boys cd's are then. I got Van Halen One right when it was released when I was in 2nd grade. I still listen to it all the time. I listen to Stones tunes in my iPod every day and can't remember a time I didn't listen to them. One mediocre Superbowl performance is not something they should be judged on, considering their rich history.

As bad as the Stones may have been, they were leagues ahead of that awful gospel rendition ofthe national anthem. I would like to have the anthem rendered in a more traditional manner. The vocal stylings applied to it in the last few yearsof late really turn my stomach.

How can you compare the mighty VH with the Stones?

Van Halen 1 was the first record I ever bought as well.

There are two bands I would pay any amount to see, provided I had the cash. Zep and Cream. Sadly, I missed the opportunity to see Cream in NY.
And of course, Zep would have to be with Bonham's son. Nobody else can fill those shoes.
...any amount
