"Best Valentine's Day ever..."

she said dipping a claw in hot butter.

Sometimes the simpler, the better.

3 one and a half pound lobsters steamed in wine
2 sticks of butter (heat a bowl in the oven to keep the butter warm)
snow peas
shiitake mushroom ravioli
cheap Meursault
1999 Laflaive Puligney Montrachet
Häagen-dazs dulce de leche ice cream

of course delivering a dozen long stems earlier at work helped too.

So there is a point in life where food becomes better than sex?

shaun I did the exact same thing...well kind of. I picked up 2 2 pound lobsters and 1 and a half pound of shrimp. Steamed it all and it came out amazing. She was very proud of my cooking skills. Now just need to show her my car skills. And best of all she bought me The Ultimate Porsche History book. Man that book has everything!

Okay, but now you've set the bar, and every subsequent year, you'll be measured against it.

Buffalo steaks, garlic mashed potatoes (my recipe, garlic, onion, bacon sete) broccoli n cauliflower. A very fine wine (cant remember what kind, think it said merlot on the box )

Good food defiantly climbs the priority list as the years go by.

If I recollect Valentines is supposed to be a holiday to share your emotions with your special loved ones, regardless of their gender.

But, from reading this post, it seems to have become a holiday to pamper women.

ALSO...you've made me very hungry. So stop.

Hey...if you've got to resort to this kinda behavior to get return, maybe you should consider another investment!

I am still hungry.

half for steaming the lobster, half as a prelude to dinner. For a $8 bottle, it wasn't bad at all. the puligny was $60 and while it was world's better, very refined, elegant, the $8 held it's own.

We've been having cheap wine with dinner every night for the past several weeks. Even cheap wine makes dinner special. highly recommended.
