Is Porsche Resurecting the 928?!

I just found these pics on www.autospies.com I came here to see if anyone else posted anything on this but couldn't find anything. Is this true, are they bringing back a front engine touring coupe?! I sure hope so, because personally I think it looks awesome. Also seems like a practical place for them to go with the Cayenne's V8 that they have so much cash sunk into. Hopefully someone here knows something more about this or where these pics originated from

928 goes 2008!!!! Urban Assault Vehicle....Wow!!! that design looks good, been quite some time since a car has really caught my eye. Hope it's true. Even though I would probably wait at least 10 years b4 I would even start to think about actually buying one.

it doesn't look like those two cars are the same... possibly different models...? :S

look at the door handles and the front brakes.

edit:

this is from wikipedia:

Quote:
Rumours and considerable fan speculation have given some owners hope that the new V8 engine will power a reborn 928. In 2005, Porsche officially announced a new V8-powered 4-door sports model to be called Panamera, set to be launched in 2009.

it's from what appears to be a french magazine if you read some of the writing around the outside...

and if you look at the first pic.. the side mirrors dont appear to be attached to the car in the same way, or have the same shape.. but that last point can be due to perspective.

The second photo (from the front) is a fake. A pretty obvious one at that.

Look how distinct the shadows are under the car, yet there are no solar hot points, and the front end is lit up even though the light source is from behind.

EDIT: Marketing materials are typically cleaned up and can look pretty fake, but I have a feeling Porsche is not releasing marketing materials on this mythical best just yet.....

These photoshop exclusives are weak.

You can tell from the rear lip that is a new Aston Martin Vantage, with a Carrera GT front-end and wheels 'shopped on. Add Cayman grille into the mix and we seem to have a 2008 MY Porsche!

French magazine or not, there was a story about a new 928 in one of the American mags (Car and Driver?)... it's legit enough. I have to wonder if this is just the rest of the car community catching up with the Panamera news?...

Those are obviously computer-generated images. Who knows what it would look like.

Looks fairly ugly to me, rare for me to say that about a car, but I don't realy like it.
