Experience w/Escrow.com or similar firms
Does anyone have personal experience with Escrow.com or similar service providers in handling escrow of payments and or earnest money deposits for long distance vehicle purchases? Please give me your input/recommendations. Thanks.

Used escrow.com when I bought my car in '01. No problems. The PO agreed to allow me 7 days for inspection of car after it was shipped to me. Worked out really good.

I used escrow.com when I did a partial trade of a 911E motor + cash for a 911SC motor. Worked great.

Maybe it's me, but from my experience in recent months, Escrow.com has been a haven for scammers. I also believe they were hi-hacked for a while. Just be very cautious when using a company like them and make sure you use credit cards. The reason why I say use credit cards, is because you always have a way of getting back your money easier, unlike using cash or wire transfers. Just my two cents based on over ten years experience in owning and managing internet companies.
