eBay issue

Mon. I won a Surefire C3 Centurion advertised as "NEW IN THE BOX". Seller said it was a b-day gift and he didn't want/need it. It arrived today with no batteries. If you order a Surefire direct from them, it comes with batteries. Last Surefire I bought in a store came with batteries. Surefire has their own type of batteries. So does this guy's item description as "NEW IN THE BOX" imply it will arrive in the same condition (as in with batteries included) as buying a Surefire direct from the manufacturer or a dealer? His ad made no mention of batteries, but I thought NIB meant it would come with them.

Sounds like you got scammed! NIB is exactly that. It should be un-used and have all the manuals, batteries, accessories, etc. It should be exactly the same as if you bought it off the shelf new. The only thing would be maybe the box has been opened, items removed, and ALL put back.

See if he can send you the batteries if they are any good.....

In fairness to the seller, the box did come with all the paperwork, manual, warranty card, accessories catalogue, belt clip, lanyard, etc. Just no batteries.

See if he'll send them to you cause the item should've come with them. He needs to pay the shipping now too. I doubt you'll get the batteries though.

Me personally, I would buy the batteries and forget about it. Maybe leave him neutral feedback and explain why.

Are these specialty batteries or just normal C or D type?

I think they're special Surefire batteries. I can get them locally and they're not expensive. It's just a little irritating. I emailed him about two hrs. ago and will wait a day or so.

the batteries are 3.6 volt lithium. surefire actaully charges a reasonable rate on their cells. a box of 12 is about 21.00

If the bats come with it, and you didn't get them, let him know. Don't wait. It may be a minor cost, but that's what keeps people on e-bay "honest"

I got one, pair of levis, brand new worn once, 5 bucks, great! offers three forms of shipping in the ad. Ok. I win, seller informs me 15.99 to ship a pair of pants on the east coast. WTF? Wait a minute, I just shipped a priority mail box with 175 insurance for 9.45. Check with USPS, one of his three, yup two box sizes ship anywhere for 8 and change. seller refuses to go this route. Crap you could throw a brown paper bag around them with string and ship them parcel post, nope. His response is did you want the pants for free? Uh no, I bid 5and they should be able to ship for 8 and change priority mail or less. Bastahd....any alternate solutions? On another sale, 935 1/4 panels new, cheeep!!! 300$ and rather thans ship, the seller will meet me or own of my customers at Carolina Motorsport park to save the shipping. guess I answerd my question, you win some you lose some.

Seller just emailed back, apologized for the oversight and said six new batteries are going in the mail to me tomorrow.
